Former CVCA member, now living in Florida, Gloria Austin will perform at the Lorenzo Driving Competition July 15-16 with this coach. Gloria is driving four Friesian horses to a Park Drag originally built over 100 years ago by Healey and Co. of New York. In 1999 Gloria and her staff, horses, and coach traveled to Europe to compete at the Royal Windsor horses show in England. She also participated in shows and carriage promenades and won many awards in France, Belgium, and Holland.

Saturday; April 30; 2000-- This scene was reminisent of days gone by... a,simple horse driven road cart coming through the village of Cazenovia to do banking and other errands. This, in fact, could have really happened years ago, but, this year, it was the trial run of one of the marathons planned for the Lorenzo Driving Competition to be held July 15, 16, 2000. Sue Voss "whip" (driver), Sandi Patrizio, show organizer, and "General" drove the 4.8 mile route from the Lorenzo Historic Site through the village, surprising many as we trotted along. The Towns people were very cooperative, though amused and curious. "General", our horse, behaved like a gentleman as if mingling with cars was an everyday occurrence.
